This sculptured series
of "fossil skulls" consists of four full size species which represent what
the general consensus of authorities in the field believe to be the only known links to
Homo sapiens. The fifth in the series, Neanderthal man, represents an often disputed
link in the lineage to modern man. These craniums were made by renowned sculptor
Larry Williams based on photographs, published diagrams and scientific papers. All
are more complete than any single existing specimen. This series represents the sum of
all science knows about these early "men." Unlike
medical skulls, they do not come apart. They are one piece. Solid
and durable, making them ideal for heavy classroom use. Very useful
when used in conjunction with anthropological studies of evolution
and comparative anatomy.
