Separating into a total of 41 parts and identifying some 755 anatomical
features, Skele-Torso is the ultimate instruction tool for anatomy,
physiology, orthopedics, physical therapy sports medicine, chiropractic
and patient education. Bones are cast from those of a near perfect
adult male specimen. They are even x-ray opaque - just like real bones.
Enhancing the skeletal framework are synthetic soft tissues.
State-of-the art plastic resins, custom formulated to duplicate as closely
as possible the natural color, weight and texture of human tissues are
used throughout.
Detachable major skeletal components can be easily removed
for close up study. These include the skull, left arm, both legs,
and right and lower legs.
Individual organs can also be removed and replaced.
These include two part brain with color-coded functional centers,
segmented lungs, heart which divides into two pieces, stomach which
divides into halves, liver gall bladder and ducts, pancreas, spleen,
kidneys with suprarenals, small intestine with "widow" to expose interior,
color and mesentery with "window" into transverse colon, male genitalia
bisected to show erectile tissue of penis and path of urethra. Right
testicles divides sagittally.
Special features include synthetic muscles, nerves, ligament
and arteries of the right shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist and left hip,
knee, foot and ankle; skull with muscles of mastication on the left side -
perfect for TMI studies; nerves including the cranial nerves, even the
olfactory bulb and optic chiasm, arteries including the complete Circle of
Willis "window" into the frontal sinus and "breakaway" maxilla to access
the paranasal sinuses; flexible spine with soft vinyl discs which
reproduces the full range of bending, twisting and life-like postures and
exhibits a cervical laminectomy, a herniated lumbar disc and lumbar
hemilaminectomy, male pelvis, sagittally sectioned and hinged permitting
the right hip to swing open through 45 degrees exposing medial view
through the pelvis bones, muscles, rectum, anus, bladder prostrate and

Our Economy Biology Skeleton Torso with arms and legs. The skeleton
disarticulates into twelve pieces. Additional features include bones
of one hand and one foot on opposite sides are articulated with springs
for joint flexibility. Right side of skeleton hand painted to show
muscle origins in red and insertions in blue. Muscle names are
hand-lettered on at each muscle origin and insertion location. Both
hips disarticulate with ball and socket joint. Comes with stand and
study guide.
