Iceland Spar
First discovered in Iceland, but since found in several other locations, it is a clear form of calcite (a carbonate).  To those who maintain that "there are no straight lines in nature, we refer to them to this specimen, characterized by straight lines and right angles.  But its most unique characteristic is that it transmits a double image, demonstrating double refraction.  We offer beautiful pecimens, around 2 1/2" square and a half inch thick.
Iceland Spar - Clear
No. SL275-S3.  Only $12.50
Iceland Spar - Pink.Variety.

The "TV Rock"
This is Ulexite, a borate.  Often called,  "The Television Stone," it is one of nature's most unique minerals. It's semi-transparent.  Lay it on top of an image and it is naturally projected to the top surface of the stone.  Not only a unique mineral, but also great for science projects. At present, we can only provide 3/4" - 1 1/4" specimens.
No. EM220-V3. Only $5.95
